Party meeting 13th October

Yet another cracking Party meeting. They seem to get better and better.

This one featured a very animated discussion on fair taxation. Everyone had a view and a surprising wide range were aired. No one dominated, everyone that their say, there was no friction and, quite remarkably in my experience, we struck to the point. No conclusions were reached but it was a thoroughly informative and enjoyable evening.

We also heard:

  1. A report on the “can we stay warm without costing the earth” public meeting in Petersfield. The content and delivery was excellent and very well received. The attendance was on the disappointing side. However we thought it good value and that we should repeat it in other places. The first venue will be somewhere in Bordon. Hopefully before the end of November

  1. With the current political turmoil we are about to start the formal procedure to select a parliamentary candidate. Judith Riggs has taken on the role of the Election Returning Officer (ERO). The ERO controls the process. She will be contacting you shortly.
